Biography

Bazemore is a shooting guard and small forward with the NBA Portland Trail Blazers. Hailing from Kelford, North Carolina, Bazemore graduated from Bertie High School where he was a standout player. So much so, that it lead to a scholarship to Old Dominion University where Bazemore received the prestigious Lefty Driesell Award for the achievement of being the top defensive collegiate player in the nation. As a double-major, Bazemore graduated from Old Dominion with degrees in Human Services and Criminal Justice. Despite going undrafted in the 2012 NBA Draft, Bazemore’s talent and work ethic lead him to being signed with the Golden State Warriors that same year. Bazemore is currently in his eighth NBA season. Kent Bazemore is more than a skilled NBA competitor, he is a servant leader in the community. Kent has a heart for philanthropy and gives his time, dedication and tenacity to the work of the ARMS Foundation. He does not take his platform for granted, he capitalizes on it through driving efforts that create and ignite change among youth in disenfranchised communities.

Professional Accomplishments

While with the Warriors, Bazemore was noted for his celebrations while on the team’s bench, which became a fixture on YouTube and were included in the NBA 2K14 video game. Bazemore’s other accomplishments include:
